Even if you don’t ride in the World Tour you can make the most of your abilities by working with an advisor that applies objective and analytical feedback on your preparation.
How do you know if you are really getting better?
Race results depend on many factors and sometimes you can just get ‘lucky’. However in this era of sports science based training it is now possible to control many of the variables that influence performance. Recording every training ride with your power meter, analysing the data and feeding this information forward into pending training sessions are the standard processes that successful competitive cyclists must follow. But in the hands of an expert coach this data can be used to reveal so much more. For example:
· Systematically build the components of endurance, strength, power and speed.
· Benchmark key power markers
· Achieve optimal race weight; precisely.
· ‘Peak’ on the day of your pinnacle event.
